Revived by His Word

Reading the whole Bible, a chapter a day, with the whole church reading the same thing on the same day. That is the entire plan, and that is its whole point.

Where it comes from

Revived by His Word is an initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to read the complete Bible at a rhythm of one chapter a day. It is not a Maná plan: Maná only carries it in your pocket and tells you which one is today's.

How it works

• A chapter a day, in order, from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22. There are 1,189 chapters, so a full round lasts about three years and three months.
• Everyone on the same day. It does not start when you sign up: the calendar is the same for the whole church, and that is why it is worth talking about with someone. Whoever reads it today in Manila reads the same as you.
• When it ends, it starts again. There is no goal to lose and no list to complete.

If you fell behind

You do not catch up by reading five chapters at once. The plan keeps no account of what you owe, and whoever tries to catch up usually gives up before managing it. You come in through today's chapter, the one above, and that is that: tomorrow you are up to date.

The chapters you skipped are still there. They are read whenever you want, without hurry and without anyone keeping count.
